Supporting industries essential to the fight of COVID-19

As part of an essential industry as designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Ascend continues to operate our plants around the world. The health and safety of our people, their families and our neighbors has always been our highest priority, and it remains so in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, much of our workforce has been asked to work remotely. Only those people responsible for the safe production and transportation of our essential products continue to report to our facilities. To keep them safe, we have instituted a number of measures as suggested by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, including restricted access to our facilities, health screenings prior to entry to our sites and mandatory social distancing and personal hygiene once inside our gates.

Our plants are operated by highly trained individuals who take their responsibility for safe production seriously. We proudly manufacture materials used in protective clothing for our first responders and essential chemistries used to ensure our global food chain is safe and secure. Disruptions to the availability of these materials could create significant hardships on the people and industries we need most to help fight the pandemic.

We will continue to do whatever is necessary to support the efforts of local, state and national authorities, and to put first the health and safety of our people, our communities and our global citizens.
